Catlin Gable Nature & Outdoor Photography Camp Collection

OVERVIEW

This collection of photographs was created during a summer camp focused on nature and outdoor photography. Using iPads, I captured details from the environment while paying attention to color composition and how light changed each scene. From close-up textures to wide shots of trees and sky, the photos show how light and color can transform everyday moments in nature into something creative.

MEDIUM AND TECHNIQUE

All photos were taken on iPads, which made it easy to experiment with framing, perspective, and timing. I focused on how natural light shifted throughout the day and how colors worked together in the frame, from the bright contrast of flowers to the softer tones of leaves and shadows. This process helped me understand how both color and light shape the mood of a photograph. The collection shows how simple tools can capture the details and atmosphere of being outdoors.
