About
Emy Angeli

I have always loved being creative, beginning with drawing and mixed media pieces and then naturally moving into fashion as another way to express myself. My uncles encouraged that spark when they bought me my first sewing machine, which brought my fashion graphics and illustrations to life in a tangible way and turned creativity from a hobby into a true passion. Sewing classes gave me the basics, while a family friend pushed me to “put the pedal to the metal,” helping me learn how to make bags and apparel with confidence. My aunt guided me further into designing clothing, and together they gave me the encouragement to take on more ambitious projects. Getting involved with costuming at school is now helping me grow even more.

Beyond fashion, creative programs such as Bodecker Foundation’s figure drawing sessions and photography classes have helped me understand form, perspective, and the connections between different mediums. Each experience has shaped how I see and approach design, giving me new tools to bring my ideas to life.

Along the way, I’ve been surrounded by my parents’ unwavering support, as well as encouragement from friends, family, teachers, and mentors who continue to inspire my creative expression. Their belief in me has shown that curiosity doesn’t stop at one medium. It carries across everything I do, from sewing and design to digital graphics and beyond.

This portfolio is a space to share my work and expression, and it will continue to grow and evolve as I do. I’m excited to keep exploring, learning, and creating with the goal of pursuing further schooling, building a shop, and shaping a career that nurtures my love and passion for making.

I’m especially grateful for the supporters and inspirations who’ve shaped my journey…
