Textile Accordion Book: Samples
OVERVIEW
Textile Accordion Book: Samples is a mixed media piece. Inspired by my use of fabric in a past mini market I did, showing recycling materials. The book spreads like an accordion, hence the name. One side is the fabrics scraps that were left over after I used to create my bags, and on the back side is paper mache in order for the paper to be stiffer.
MEDIUM AND TECHNIQUE
My use of materials are chalk pens, fabric, a lighter, cardstock paper, paper mache and hot glue. The front and the back are intentional for the writing, using the back side of the book because traditional people look at the front but never the back.
